We are located in Valentine, the heart of the beautiful Niobrara River valley of the Sandhills of Nebraska. The Sandhills area is rich in natural thriving habitat teeming with healthy wildlife. The Nebraska Sandhills are the nation’s most extensive and intact wetland/grassland system.  There is such a large variety of quality wildlife, too numerous to list them all. Some of what you will find; along the river you will see the Whitetail deer and Bobcat, in the breaks and out, Mule deer, Antelope, Elk, Coyote, Turkey, Grouse, Prairie Chicken, Quail, Pheasant and Dove. Along the many waterways you will see a large variety of water fowl, including the Canadian Goose and ducks such as the mallard, blue & green winged teel, common merganser & the ruddy duck. For viewing pleasure you will see the Sandhill crane, Whooping crane, Swans, Pelicans, Blue Heron and Bald Eagles along with several other predatory birds. The Sandhills are home to more than 300 species of birds. Fishing brings you nearly 100 species of fish, just a few are the bass, perch, trout, catfish, walleye and pike.
